The Lost Souls of Flight Reaping

Not comprehensive, but the ones I remember most distinctly.

or: That one time I let the Hunger Games simulator dictate a lair purge, stashed records in Mallow’s bio, then got sick of the bio decoration images breaking & re-ported everything over to my very own webbed site. Ta-da…!

ApocryphaLux

Apocrypha & Lux

Best friends and former members of Viral Evolution, if only on the outskirts. Apocrypha was a devoted warrior; Lux, a would-be Representative of the Light Flight who left home too soon. When Viral Evolution dissolved, the duo pledged their allegiances to the wandering empress Vulcan; it was Apocrypha’s idea.

Alas, rather than reclaimed glory, the would-be empire dissolved into darkness, taking these two with. Since then they’ve lingered in the Tangled Wood as helpful voices, urging other lost souls not to follow their paths.

Vulcan

Vulcan

A fallen empress, once the ruler of a mighty empire in the Ashfall Waste. But when it was conquered by a rivaling kingdom, Vulcan was exiled. She returned ages later to a vacant territory, every trace of former glory gone. Infuriated, Vulcan sought new warriors to rebuild her throne. High ranks and splendor were promised to those who pledged themselves to her side.

Unfortunately, recruitment was a slow endeavor. The longer it dragged on, the more existing recruits questioned Vulcan’s plans and motives. Unwilling to admit defeat to the end, Vulcan instead led her would-be army deep into the Tangled Wood, where they (to the surprise of no one) met a grisly end among the thorns.

Wore the accent Blazing Plumage.

Tyson

Tyson

A lonesome boy who, throughout his short life, was haunted by Vulcan’s spectre. Little is known of his story beyond this, but he was killed by Delphi, and Vulcan has been awfully quiet since.

Tyson’s voice is barely more than a whisper. Mallow tries their best to coax him into presence.

First egg I ever hatched. Never quite got the lore spark, alas.

Apidae

Apidae

A reckless little lizard who really liked bumbles. Former traveling partner of Fern, but when Apidae got lost in the brambles, she forgot about his existence entirely… or so it once seemed.

For ages Apidae was restless, winding the paths of travelers into convoluted knots just to feel something. But Apidae has been soothed by the knowledge Fern is still alive and well—and that, with some prompting, she remembers him after all. It’s almost enough to put his soul at peace for good. (Almost.)
