Kade, frowning and holding an art tablet, sits at the computer. The angle parallels Rudy in the opening shot, with a view from the webcam. In the background, the back wall is a pale checkerboard: the transparency grid of an art program.

On the screen, an art program is open to a blank canvas. On the side, the game’s assets are also onscreen, open to the background folder.]

Abruptly Kade’s phone vibrates. Valerie’s on the other end.

Val: Say, where was that classroom again? I’m pretty sure I’ve been up and down this whole hallway at least a couple times, and not a single door opens!

Cutting to Val, the hallway resembles the one in the game assets, albeit rendered in the illustrative comic style. Val tugs on a door.

Val: Seriously, why add so many useless doors.

Kade turns away from the screen.

Kade: Okay, so, check another hallway.

Val: Been there, done that. What kind of classroom was it, again?

Kade: You’ll know it when you find it.

Val has doubts. A lot of them.

But after a moment, she says with a smile: All right!

I trust you.

Kade, hearing this, applies his face directly to the desk.

Further down the page is a title card, which reads “404 presents: debug.” Zoomed-in pixel art features Kade and Rudy, both framed as if on a playing card and in different outfits (description forthcoming). They each have a weapon that furthers the playing card resemblance: a knife appears to be stabbing Kade through the back of the head, and Rudy holds a large green topped with a clover. Hovering over or selecting either character reveals a link.
