Early monthly update post, except there wasn’t much regularity to these in the first place.

site updates

as listed in my GitHub contribution history for the month so far (which seems to auto-sort by quantity), but backwards

(forgot to mention last time) /shriblets index is updated, with the blockydob process page as “finished” as it’s going to get—by which I mean the most egregious WIP sections were unceremoniously sawed off. Besides that, there is a slightly egregious date gap between, y’know, 2022 and 2026; I’ve done random little pages in the interim, but they’ve been scattered throughout sub-sites. Think I’ve mentioned this before. Stuff for later-me to dig through.
/artFight: published the 2026 gallery 🎉 Special shout-out to the commission that got uploaded as an attack, thereby giving me the perfect excuse to reupload it.
/toyshelf: uploaded some older art of those older human characters. Some personal favorites:
- a 2025 redraw
- low-effort scribbles that are probably only funny to me
- a height chart, mostly because the original file is huge and I don’t want to have to keep opening it for color-picking purposes
- Just Standing There in vaguely representative settings
/dragonotes:
- now has a 404 page, after years of somehow not having a 404 page
- made bare-bones HTML layouts, which is something I should do on all lightmode-default sites from here out
- cleaned up the great wall of dragons to make it look more ~finished
/art-2026 has existed since June, but has not managed to be linked at the top of a blog post until now. It is there! It has 12 entire thign on it now!! I still don’t know what to do for a doodle roundup, or how I’m going to handle art from 2027 onward (new gallery repos? merge/reconfigure this one?)!! Quibbles for later-me.

The art descriptions are kinda mini blog posts in their own right, with process shots and (some degree of) context for the subject included. Wasn’t strictly intentional, kinda just Happens when I make an entire self-coded page for a piece & have basically no limits on what to do with that page. It’s been fun!

Got slapped in the face mid-Wikipedia trawl by the phrase “sonic hedgehog expression.” Sonic hedgehog protein subheading Robotnikinin. Humanity is amazing sometimes.

patch notes: the status and blog/slugs pages will no longer blind people using dark mode
despite shriblets having its own repo now, I also saved a static version of its pre-offshoot appearance. just to Have It. (the index will get an overhaul Eventually…)
overhauled the backend of the oldpages index; no visible change, but will be easier to edit now
a sitemap overhaul is long overdue, but for now I have made it slightly less dated than it could have been

/shriblets/blockydob: replaced the ending image
/deviantart:
- /timeline:
  - made the hashtags (#) an actual symbol instead of a CSS decoration, to make it easier to search with CTRL+F
  - threw in a note about uploads from 2026 onward, which are published somewhere here on my own site first
- also made some lil copyedits, mainly on the index
- i think the onsite tag search Actually died btw. ughhhhhhh i don’t feel like making pages for everything scoobert
- also then had to un-fuck a bunch of things that were weird on the live site but not my end. help
/toyshelf:
- did backend things (there’s now a generic datacheck, only characters so far)
- flung a buncha thumbnails onto the homepage
- made a cmyk catch-all page (still unpolished as of writing, but the Content is there). It will probably get split off later but tbh it’s more useful to have everything on one to start then branch, like the misc characters have been doing. (As for the cmyk bit, it’s just shorter than writing disaster-crew for everything.)

signs off on September 2nd for real this time. whatever man
