v.

Image: Rain.
Image: At the gate, Gary holds Kay Lin as Joce attempts to pick the lock. Addison stands back, still uncertain.

The plan: find shelter. Lie low. Go home.

Something about this place keeps even Gary and Addison quiet. The less time they spend here, the better.

But not everyone is so subdued.

Image: Kay Lin wakes, much to Gary and Addison’s surprise.
Image: Kay Lin pushes back, Addison tries to get Joce’s attention—
Image: That damn noise again.
Image: Something creeps out of the darkness.

The group is frantic.

Image: Gary drops Kay Lin as the monster approaches, Joce yells at him as Kay Lin reaches for something on her—
Image: —shoves something in the lock, opening it—
Image: —and everyone scrambles in. The gate slams shut on the creature’s open maw.
Image: The four scramble back.
Image: The rabbit eyes them through the gate bars.
Image: They watch it leave.
Image: Addison glares at Kay Lin.

“Weren’t you supposed to be dying?!”

“Jesus christ, Addison—”

Image: Kay Lin just steps back, raising her hands.

“Alright, alright, I’ll ’fess up…”

Image: She smiles, that one fang visible again. The castle forms a jagged silhouette behind her.

“I live here!”
